is proud to announce that it has been recognised in the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in the category of international trade.

Personally approved by Her Majesty The Queen, SALT’s recognition comes for outstanding short-term growth in overseas sales over the last three years. The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are among the most prestigious business awards in the UK.

As a winner of the award, SALT can now utilise the Queen’s Awards emblem for the next five years. This includes usage across branding, digital media, and a physical flag, which can be flown from SALT’s HQ in Leeds.

The company will also receive a Grant of Appointment and a commemorative crystal trophy, which will be presented by a Lord-Lieutenant during the summer.

SALT is one of 226 organisations nationally recognised for the awards in 2022. Previous winners include BBC Worldwide, The National Archives, Marks and Spencer p.l.c, Pfizer Limited, and Dyson Ltd.

In July, co-founder, Reza Moaiandin, looks forward to celebrating the award at a reception hosted by HRH The Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace.

Martin Woods, co-founder & SEO director, said: “I am honoured that SALT has been recognised for the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in international trade. Working with people from all kinds of nationalities and backgrounds is always something that I’ve enjoyed. The team has done an incredible job and I look forward to seeing where we go across the next few years.”

Discussing the awards, Reza said: “SALT began its life in a small attic, and It’s an incredible achievement for us, who started from the ground up with no investment, to reach a place of being an internationally recognised organisation.”

He continued: “We are so proud of the hard work and achievements our team has pushed in a competitive industry and during challenging times like Covid-19. During this time, we have strived to grow but are mindful of supporting our team during times of personal crisis. I believe our strategic, high quality and conscious mindset has allowed us to be fortunate to receive this special award.”

Applications for Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2023 open on 1 May 2022.
