Christmas has always been a time for giving and, this Christmas, giving is more important than ever due to the wake of COVID-19 — the virus which has had a detrimental affect on so many lives and businesses around the world.

Like many sectors, the not-for-profit sector has suffered great losses this year due to the pandemic and the associated national and local lockdowns, social distancing measures, and so on.

With fundraising events being cancelled or taken online due to the coronavirus outbreak, almost a third of charities reported a decline in their voluntary income back in July and one in three charities said they weren’t confident they’ll survive the pandemic.

This report was, of course, almost five months ago and, since then, some charities have sadly had to close their doors — Action MS in Northern Ireland being one of many.

At SALT.agency we care, and that’s why this Christmas we have pledged to donate to the charitable organisations that matter the most to the clients we’re fortunate enough to work with — spreading a little joy where it’s needed.
