Day - To - Day Activities

At SALT.agency, SEO is not a tick box activity. Each month you will be completing a broad range of activities for clients, which are bespoke to each campaign. Each day varies, but you’ll be working on:

• Keyword research
• Content creation
• Auditing websites
• Competitor, market, and gap analysis
• Reporting on data i.e. from GA & GSC
• Regular meetings with your team and line manager
• Building client relationships
• Technical writing
• Assisting with strategy creation
• Attending regular training
• Supporting junior members of the team

• How will you develop my knowledge?
  We have a dedicated learning and development team who will work closely with you and your line manager to identify skill and knowledge gaps. You will be invited to a regular training session and receive feedback on what you need to learn to progress in your role.
• Is this role remote?
  This role can be remote! If you are a successful candidate, you will be able to work with the hiring manager to work out what would work best.
• What tools do you use?
  We very much use the typical SEO toolkit, such are Little Warden, Majestic, Ahrefs, Sitebulb and Screaming Frog. We have the very cool feature of having our own custom-built tools, which you’ll be shown once you join.
• How do I find out about the salary for this role?

SALT's core values are transparency, and our compensation model is open to data-driven iterations. Our salaries are based on the cost of the market and aim to be at a competitive rate for the job family, location, level of experience, and contract type. We review our salaries every quarter and aim to keep them above the 50th percentile of the salary data firms such as PayScale for the role. As a policy, at times where we find individuals who we truly believe make a step-change in the company where their salary requirements are above our current banding, should we choose to hire them. Everyone carrying that role out in the company will have their Salaries lifted simultaneously.
• I’m not sure technical SEO is my thing; can I still apply?
  Whilst we encourage our team members to have a technical understanding, you know you need to be a technical expert in applying. You do not need to have a specialism from the onset, and we understand that everyone has different skills and passions. You would be able to dip your toes into our project management, strategic and technical teams. Or you could be a mix of it all and work across the teams!
